Do you want to be amongst the first in New Zealand to see a 2017 SXSW top-ten documentary featuring one of the most unassuming yet influential creative artists of our time? Not only that … this legendary guitarist and 2017 Wellington Jazz Festival headliner will be there in-person for an exclusive Q&A with Culture Club supporters.

Australian filmmaker Emma Franz’s warm and insightful film portrait of Bill Frisell is full of live music, stories, and intimate access to Frisell’s many collaborators including Paul Simon and Bonnie Raitt. This is a very special, once-in-a-life time opportunity to meet a Grammy Award-winner in the flesh at this intimate Culture Club event.

About Bill Frisell:

Bill Frisell is widely credited as being one of the biggest influences on guitarists and the changing palette of guitar in the last few decades. A unique and masterful musician, prolific composer and bandleader, Grammy Award-winner and Down Beat Guitarist of the Year for ten consecutive years, Frisell is recipient of countless accolades from critics and fans from all genres of music and corners of the globe. In a career that has thus far spanned hundreds of albums, with 45 in his own name, Frisell has managed to combine sonic mastery with jazz, country, folk, rock, blues, pop, avant-garde, and more, whilst always maintaining a uniquely identifiable sound.
