DOC EDGE FESTIVAL - CAMINO SKIES

  • Cuba: 21 Jun 2019
Runtime: 81 min
GENRES: Documentary
TBC

Exploring themes of spirituality, well-being and religion, six strangers from New Zealand and Australia set off on an inspirational trek along the 800km Camino de Santiago, each hoping to overcome the personal and physical trauma that life has dealt them.

Through blisters, shin splints and heat, the Camino forces pilgrims to defy their age and physical ability, while also acting as a catalyst for change.

A meditation on life, love and loss, the result is a heart-breaking and uplifting story of everyday people achieving the extraordinary.

Screening with short:

Peter (12 min, NZ, 2019, World Premiere, English , directed by Mick Andrews)

Sitting at a café on a bright summer’s day, Peter gets a phone call no-one ever wants to get.
